Future Champions Skating Seminar will be held on Tuesday June 30th, 2009,
at the USA Today/Gannett Building, 7950 Jones Branch Drive, Mc Lean, Va 22107.
Sign up now for an amazing night!
Seminar to include ways to improve your jump technique,
understanding the international judging system, goal setting for skating success.
Parents can also attend and learn tips from nutritionist Amanda Davis and
sports psychologist Caroline Silby. See you there!

Join Capitol Steps Synchronized Skating Team
Capitol Steps are in need of skaters to fill out teams for the upcoming 2009-2010 season.
This is a fun, exciting competitive sport.

Congratulations to Our Gold Medalists!
We have eight skaters passed senior tests this year (2008-2009) so far.
Skaters who passed senior free skate test are: Sebra Yen, Ly Pham, Taylor Phillips-Brown
and Jeanette Du.
Skaters who passed senior moves in the field test are Jessica Qiu, Tian Wang, Wicksie Tu,
Sebra Yen and Ayu Shiffer.

Capitol Steps Advance to Nationals!
SCNV would like to congratulate the Capitol Steps Juvenile Team on placing 3rd in January
at the Easterns Sectional Synchronized Skating Championships in Morristown, NJ,
and advancing to the 2009 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships in Portland, ME, March 3-7.
In addition, the Intermediate Team finished 5th at Easterns, giving them an alternate designation for Nationals!
We are very proud to have the teams represent SCNV.
Way to go Teams!!!
