The Skating Club of Northern Virginia is United States Figure Skating Club Number 1615.
Where to Find Us:
We are located in Fairfax, Virginia and our Home Rink is the
Fairfax Ice Arena.
In addition to this web site, SCNV maintains a bulletin board at the rink,
between the lesson office and the skate desk.

Membership in SCNV is open to all who are eligible for USFSA membership and upon approval of the
SCNV Board of Directors.
Memberships are not transferable to others.
United States Figure Skating (USFSA) membership is included in the SCNV membership.
Each member family will recieve a subscription to Skating magazine published by the USFSA.
SCNV members must rejoin every year in order to renew their USFSA and SCNV memberships
and remain in good standing with SCNV.
Renewal of SCNV membership is required in order to test,
compete or purchase club-sponsored ice time.
New memberships can take up to 60 days for SCNV Board approval and USFSA processing.
SCNV offers its members prime time ice on Monday evenings

Members interested in subscribing to skating sessions can contact the SCNV Session Chair,

Club Sessions
SCNV sponsors club ice sessions on Monday evenings between 6 and 9 pm.
Season subscribers must be SCNV members.
The number of skaters on club sessions is limited.
However, when space is available, individual sessions may be picked up
by paying a per session fee.
There is no limit on pick-ups for club members.
Space permitting, non-members may skate as guests up to three times per season.
Sanctions
If you are an eligible skater and a member of USFSA, your appearance in public
exhibitions is governed by a set of sanctions rules that protect your eligibility
status for competitions, tests, and other USFSA-governed activities.
SCNV members should consult their current Season Handbook for further important
information if they are invited to skate in ANY exhibition or demonstration that
is not sponsored by the Skating Club of Northern Virginia.
